 David
Fink
David is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) with nearly 20 years experience in the securities industry. He joined Rogan & Associates in 2008 and is based in our Sarasota/Manatee office.
After graduating with an MBA from the University of Florida and spending two years as a consultant, David entered the securities business working directly with the Chairman of Raymond James Financial, Thomas A. James, on matters related to the strategic direction of the company. While there, he created the process and was responsible for reviewing the investment practices of some of the leading institutional money management firms around the world to determine whether they were suitable to be offered to clients of the firm.
In 1996, David left Raymond James to serve as the Chief Operating Officer of Matador Capital Management, a firm that provided services to accredited high net worth and institutional investors. In his capacity as COO, David was involved in all aspects of the firm's operations, including, among others, client service, research, trading and portfolio management, tax strategies and estate planning for the firm's partners. In addition to investing in the public markets, David has experience with private placements, venture capital and true start-up investments.
During his time in the securities industry, David has witnessed market cycles first-hand as well as the way people react to those cycles – often to their detriment. His operating experience gives him a unique ability to assess the usefulness and viability of the endless array of products created by Wall Street and to determine the potential benefit, of lack thereof, that they may provide to individuals, families and small businesses.
David uses his substantial experience and expertise to help his clients plan their financial futures, avoid mistakes, and move steadily toward their ultimate goal – financial peace of mind.
David, and his wife Debbie, live in Parrish with their five dogs (yes, five), miniature horses and cat. Debbie runs a horse boarding facility, so David and Debbie can often be found outdoors with the animals. Additionally, David enjoys spending his free time on or near the water, working out or with family and friends.
